A Deeper Dive into the Song: How It’s Done by Huntr/x Lyrics Meaning
How It’s Done is the official introduction of Huntr/x. This isn’t just a warrior anthem; this is where we, as the audience, actually see Rumi, Mira, and Zoey’s role as hunters/protectors and being badass. The song starts when demons sabotage the girls’ plane going to their concert.
Intro
Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are annoyed with the demons, more than anything, for purposely delaying their flight towards Huntr/x’s concert. The girls are even more triggered when the demons say they would eat Huntr/x’s fans. They are now ready to fight.
Verse 1
Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are essentially telling the demons, “better luck next time”. The girls are well-trained as demon hunters and will stop at nothing to kill the demons. They are confident that they won’t get hurt or lose, because fighting demons is in their blood.
Verse 2
The girls are kind of mocking the demons for losing to them (considering the girls are outnumbered). They, however, aren’t letting the demons go unless they are all killed. The girls also make sure to show the demons they can fight while staying fabulous (Heels, nails, blade, mascara).
Napalm is referenced in this verse when Mira said it while fixing her hair (while riding a demon down the plane). Napalm is a mixture of a jelling agent and either diesel fuel or gasoline. This can be used as a weapon and can burn, and was used by the Americans during the Vietnam War. Mira, being the one with the most temper, expresses that Huntr/x is willing to go to war with the demons for the sake of their fans.
Verse 3
The girls are saying that they are more action than words. Yes, they tell the demons what they’re going to do to them, but they also deliver. That’s just how they do it; they make sure to finish the job.

The Huntr/x girls are expressing how they get it done, with it being a demon hunter and a famous popstar group. The girls are also subtly mocking the demons by telling them they will sing a lullaby to knock them out (singing while beating up the demons mid-air).

The girls are saying that nothing can make their voices weak and how good they are at what they do, making even fear itself afraid. As long as their fans are happy with their songs, the honmoon will also get stronger until it becomes golden. Their goal is to achieve the golden honmoon so they can seal the demons in the underworld forever.
