A Deeper Dive into the Song: Takedown by Huntr/x Lyrics Meaning<>
Takedown serves as Huntr/x’s diss track against the Saja Boys and their battle cry as they fight against the increasing number of demons trying to take human souls. In the film, Takedown was written when Rumi, Mira, and Zoey felt a little threatened that the Saja Boys might steal their fans (and their souls).
Verse 1
Zoey and Mira admit to being smitten by the Saja Boys and how extremely attractive they are; however, they are also aware that these boys are demons and need to be taken down. They immediately realized that the boys were demons when they saw their marks and have been determined to take them down since then. Mira, more than Zoey, is especially pissed at them and is determined to send them back to the underworld.
Verse 2
Zoey and Mira are more determined to defeat the demons, unlike Rumi, who was becoming a little soft on Jinu (one of the Saja Boys). The two girls will do anything and stop at nothing to kill the demons, even if they have to be brutal with it.
Verse 3
Rumi, although being bothered if the demons were only being controlled by Gwi-Ma, knows and agrees that they have to kill the demons or send them back to the underworld to protect the humans.

Rumi, Mira, and Zoey aren’t easily tricked by the demons (especially the Saja Boys) by putting on attractive disguises because they can see their marks (only demons have marks). These disguises and their attempts to keep taking human souls infuriate the girls and strengthen their desire to seal them in the underworld. They also firmly believe that demons can’t feel, although Rumi was a bit torn with this after having multiple secret conversations with Jinu.
This is also the part where Rumi takes the lead in the song and, by extension, takes her place as their leader again.
Rumi has marks because she’s half-demon.
Bridge
The girls are perfectly aware that demons can disguise themselves as anything to fool everyone, which was effective on humans. However, they are confident that they will be able to expose the Saja Boys to their fans and turn them against the boys. The girls also try to shame the Saja Boys for doing what they’re doing; however, they are demons and are shameless. So instead, they have to take drastic measures to stop their evil plans.

Film Details: Kpop Demon Hunters centers on Rumi, Mira, and Zoey as members of the fictional girl group Huntr/x who secretly fight demons using their voices. Huntr/x was performed twice in the film. First, during the girls’ rehearsal and they had to fight off demons on a train. Second is when the demons disguised as Mira and Zoey expose Rumi’s marks during the Idol Awards. There was also a special clip during the credits scene with Twice singing Takedown.
