Lover Era

Oh, hi!

The Eras Tour by Taylor Swift started with the Lover Era. The show opened with colorful, flowy petals-like props. Taylor opened with the song Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince while wearing her Lover-inspired, sparkly bodysuit. The archer definitely pierced through our hearts because we already fell in love with the Eras Tour even if it’s just the beginning. It was a cruel summer for us swifties who weren’t able to catch any of her shows live. You need to calm down, though, because Taylor’s definitely the man for having the Eras Tour be turned into a movie! But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Let’s go back to the eras.

Lover Era Setlist:

  1. Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince (shortened)
  2. Cruel Summer
  3. The Man
  4. You Need To Calm Down (shortened)
  5. Lover
  6. The Archer

Fearless Era

Ah, the classics. This era definitely brings back memories, am I right, swifties? With Taylor’s shiny dress, guitar, and her fearless 🫶 persona as she conquered the world (and our hearts). It was a wild ride as Taylor took us back to our high school memories and teenage love story. I don’t know about you, but I can definitely say that Fearless Era, you belong with me.

Fearless Era Setlist:

  1. Fearless (shortened)
  2. You Belong With Me
  3. Love Story

Evermore Era

In this era, I don’t tolerate it. Because I absolutely love it! I think I speak for the rest of us that this era (or album) helped us through our champagne problems. Marjorie will be so proud of Taylor for bringing us this gift. The Evermore album showed us that Taylor is like a willow tree, strong but flexible.

Did you also dance around like a witch’s ritual during the Willow number? Or did you get teary-eyed as Taylor paid tribute to her grandmother Marjorie? I know you definitely felt the emotions as she played the piano during Champagne Problems or the dining table scene during Tolerate It. Taylor’s partner here was an amazing actor, by the way, because was able to show us emotions without saying a single word.

Evermore Era Setlist:

  1. Willow
  2. Marjorie
  3. Champagne Problems
  4. Tolerate It

Reputation 🐍 Era

Swifties, are you… ready for it? So, baby let the games begin! 1, 2, 3, let’s go bitch!

This era is kind of delicate because this symbolizes the time when Taylor was involved in the Kim-Kanye controversy and was accused of being fake and a snake. Well, jokes on them because Taylor was like “Look what you made me do” as she rose back up again with hit after hit. Don’t blame me for sticking with the queen, because years later, the truth came out that the controversial phone call between her and KimYe was manipulated.

Personally, I love this era. Reputation just hits differently (both on the album and in the Eras Tour). Not to mention, the visuals were amazing! The giant snake at the start leaves you both in awe and creeped out, and the lightning strikes on the stage during Delicate. Special mention to the multiple Taylors too, during Look What You Made Me Do.

Reputation Era Setlist:

  1. Ready for It
  2. Delicate
  3. Don’t Blame Me
  4. Look What You Made Me Do

Speak Now Era

I was enchanted with Taylor Swift during this part of the Eras Tour. This may be the shortest of all the eras, but it stole the show with Taylor’s extravagant gown and heartfelt performance. Long live, the Speak Now Era!

Speak Now Era Setlist:

  1. Enchanted
  2. Long Live

Red Era

I know we are never getting back together after this! I knew you were trouble, and I knew it all too well. It was supposed to be fun, turning 22 (lol). Just kidding. The Red Era also brings back memories, doesn’t it? It reminds us of the time when we were younger and made bad decisions, but they helped shape who were are now. Be honest, did you tear up during All Too Well? I did.

The iconic giving of the 22 hat also happens during the Red Era. Oh, how lucky are our fellow swifties? But, we’re happy for them, aren’t we?

Red Era Setlist:

  1. 22
  2. We Are Never Getting Back Together
  3. I Knew You Were Trouble
  4. All Too Well (10-Minute Version)

Folklore Era

Folklore, the 1 sister of Evermore. This era has a lot of pains. Betty, for one, was hurt and we all know that August slipped away into a moment in time. Because of illicit affairs, my tears ricochet (based on Betty and Augustine’s POV, anyway).

Let’s not forget about the Last Great American Dynasty that Taylor wrote about the life of Rebekah Harkness, an heiress and socialite who previously owned Taylor’s Rhode Island Mansion.

Folklore Era Setlist:

  1. The 1
  2. Betty
  3. Last Great American Dynasty
  4. August
  5. Illicit Affairs
  6. My Tears Ricochet

1989 Era

I hope you still have a blank space because we still have a few eras left in Taylor Swift’s tour. Taylor definitely showcased her style here as she wore a sparkly matching flapper top and skirt, which she recently changed into colorful crop tops and skater skirts. Some say that because of the mismatched colors, she looked like a gummy worm. She still looked cute, tho. And let’s face it, not everyone can carry that kind of style. So, hope there’s no bad blood. Just, shake it off.

1989 Era’s Setlist:

  1. Style
  2. Blank Space
  3. Shake It Off
  4. Bad Blood

Midnights Era

For the anti-here, this isn’t for you. This era felt like a lavender haze during a midnight rain. The songs were meaningful, not to mention her bejeweled outfit. Taylor’s a mastermind for organizing this tour because it definitely went out with a bang. Karma as the last song was perfect, with their matching colorful jackets. And don’t forget Vigilante Shit that I’m pretty sure confused the heck out of some of us (if you know what I mean 🤭).

Midnights Era Setlist:

  1. Lavender Haze
  2. Anti-Hero
  3. Midnight Rain
  4. Vigilante Shit
  5. Bejeweled
  6. Mastermind
  7. Karma

The Tortured Poets Department Era

The Tortured Poets Department album was recently just released last April 2024. Taylor started performing some of the album’s songs in May 2024 in Paris. The whole setlist also had some changes, as well as her outfits.

I guess we can say that TTPD was the start of a new era. Taylor was down bad amazing with the concepts and performance. TTPD also became a permanent addition to the rest of the shows, so don’t worry, she’s not going to perform this for a fortnight only. Some songs were so high school like But Daddy I Love Him (did you see your face when you first heard this? lol) and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.

TTPD tells the story of Taylor’s past heartbreaks and how she got back up again. Thanks, Taylor, because I know now that I can do it with a broken heart too.

The Tortured Poets Department Era Setlist:

  1. But Daddy I Love Him
  2. So High School (shortened)
  3. Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?
  4. Down Bad
  5. Fortnight
  6. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  7. I Can Do It With A Broken Heart

Iconic Moments from the Eras Tour by Taylor Swift

The concert was already iconic itself, but there are also many iconic moments that we swifties remember by heart.

  • The Fearless Heart - during the Fearless performance, Taylor would make a heart shape with her hands as she sings “It’s fearless” after the bridge, and the swifties will follow.
  • 1, 2, 3, let’s go bitch! - this is during the Delicate performance in the Reputation era. Taylor will sing the intro for the song and then the swifties will chant the famous “1, 2, 3, let’s go bitch!” before the first verse.
  • The Addition of TTPD - as we have mentioned earlier, TTPD was only added earlier in the year after the album’s release, and swifties immediately loved it. Taylor’s performances were iconic, not to mention her funny moments with one of her backup dancers, Kam.
  • Technical Difficulties - yes, technical difficulties are errors, but it doesn’t mean that the show would stop. Taylor, the star that she is, made the show go on. Some examples of her iconic tech difficulties are when her piano plays by itself due to the rain, Taylor battles with her earpiece technical difficulty and continuously dances while one of the staff fixes her earpiece, and her cloak goes over her head during the Willow dance.
  • Eras Tour: The Movie

For all the swifties who weren’t able to catch the shows live, Taylor answered our prayers through the Eras Tour Movie. Sure, it isn’t the same as seeing Taylor perform live on stage, but it still gave the same concert experience. The Eras Tour movie premiered on October 13, 2024 in the US and was officially released on March 15, 2024 on Disney+ so you can now watch the show anytime and anywhere you want!

    To Wrap It Up

I know it’s sad that this historic event is ending. The Eras Tour by Taylor Swift ran for more than a year from March 2023 up to December 2024. This concert became a big part of our lives. The Eras Tour united the swifties and gave us all goals (make friendship bracelets and memorize the iconic moments). It also made the whole world excited since Taylor toured on different continents. Don’t worry, though, I’m sure this won’t be the last. We may be closing the Eras Tour chapter but Taylor Swift will definitely open a new one for us to look forward to.
